The synchronized swim duet of Penny and Vicky Vilagos was inducted to the McGill Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
 
The twin sisters were born on April 17, 1963 in Toronto, and grew up in Dollard des Ormeaux, Que. They both earned commerce degrees from McGill, graduating in 1986, with Penny receiving first-class academic honours and Vicky meriting great distinction.
 
The dynamic duo led the McGill synchro swim team to back-to-back OWIAA league championships in 1983 and 1984. Aside from the two team titles, they also claimed individual gold medals both years in the OWIAA duet and senior figures routines.
 
Members of the Canadian national team for eight years, they were crowned seven times as Canadian duet champions and teamed up to win an Olympic silver medal for Canada in a duet routine at the 1992 Summer Games in Barcelona, Spain.
 
Both were also inducted to the Quebec Sports Hall of Fame, the Canadian Aquatic Hall of Fame and the Canadian Olympic Sports Hall of Fame.
