Chris Drysdale was born January 27, 1973 in Washington, D.C., and graduated from McGill with an electrical engineering degree in 1995, followed by a medical degree from Georgetown University in 2000.
He played five seasons for the soccer Redmen from 1990 to 1994, earning all-conference honours each year.
At age 18, he became the team’s youngest player to earn the captaincy and served in that role in each of his last four seasons. A four-time All-Canadian defender who earned four league MVP awards. Despite playing primarily as a defender, he managed to lead the Redmen in scoring three times.
Voted four times as most valuable player of the Quebec University Soccer League, Drysdale became the first male athlete at McGill, in any sport, to earn All-Canadian honours four consecutive times.
