Mastromatteo, a 20-year-old science junior majoring in anatomy and cellular biology, won four gold medals and was named swimmer of the meet for the third time this season as the McGill Martlets swept their third straight RSEQ University Cup competition of the season at the Montpetit Hall pool in the nation's capital, Saturday. The 5-foot-6 sprinter won the 50-metre butterfly (27.73), 50m backstroke (28.62), 100 back (1:01.72) and was part of the winning 4x50m medley relay, which was clocked in 1:53.23. Then on Sunday, she led all swimmers with four additional race victories as the McGill women defeated the defending national champion Toronto Varsity Blues (209.5 – 195.5) in a dual meet fundraiser for pancreatic cancer at Memorial Pool.

Courville-Fortin, a 20-year-old science freshman, won three gold medals and added a silver as McGill men's swim team swept its third consecutive RSEQ University Cup meet of the season on Saturday in the nation's capital. He won the 200-metre individual medley (2:03.48), the 50 backstroke (25.56) and the 100 back (55.07). The short-and middle-distance sprinter also helped McGill finish second in the 4x500 medley relay that touched the wall in 1:40.72. The following day, he won three additional races and posted a second-place finish in a dual meet against the visiting national champion U of T Varsity Blues.
