MONTREAL – Philip Cutler, has become the second McGill University football graduate to accept an invitation from the National Scouting Combine in Naples, FLA., Jan. 5-9, 2026.
 
Now entering its 15th year, the NSC is an invitation-only showcase event and is specifically designed for draft-eligible athletes and free agents who are ready to be evaluated at the highest level.

Also at the combine camp is defensive lineman Jonathan Montour of Laval, Que., who is expected to graduate this spring after five seasons at McGill.
 
Cutler, who graduated in 2013 with a degree in kindergarten and elementary education, served as a reserve linebacker at McGill, from 2009 to 2012 seasons. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Westmount, Que., enrolled at McGill after graduating from John Abbott College and had playing stints as a DB in the 2010 and 2011 fall campaigns.
 
He also served as a member of McGill Education's Faculty Advisory Board, as a philanthropic ambassador. As CEO of Paper, he used his transferable skills as a classroom teacher to establish an on-demand online tutoring service and has collaborated with McGill Education on research in the educational technology field.

Cutler, ancien joueur de football à McGill, rejoint Montour au Camp d'evaluation « NSC » en Floride

MONTRÉAL – Philip Cutler est devenu le deuxième diplômé en football de l'Université McGill à accepter une invitation au camp d'evaluation « National Scouting Combine » qui se tiendra à Naples, en Floride, du 5 au 9 janvier 2026.

Le « NSC » , qui en est maintenant à sa 15e année, est un événement sur invitation uniquement, spécialement conçu pour les athlètes admissibles au repêchage et les agents libres qui sont prêts à être évalués au plus haut niveau.

Le joueur de ligne défensive Jonathan Montour, de Laval, au Québec, qui devrait obtenir son diplôme ce printemps après cinq saisons à McGill, participera également au camp.

Cutler, qui a obtenu en 2013 un diplôme en éducation préscolaire et élémentaire, a été linebacker remplaçant à McGill de 2009 à 2012. Originaire de Westmount, au Québec, cet athlète de 1,85 m et 90 kg s'est inscrit à McGill après avoir obtenu son diplôme du Collège John Abbott et a joué comme DB lors des campagnes d'automne 2010 et 2011.

Il a également été membre du conseil consultatif de la faculté d'éducation de McGill, en tant qu'ambassadeur philanthropique. En tant que PDG de Paper, il a mis à profit ses compétences transférables en tant qu'enseignant pour créer un service de tutorat en ligne à la demande et a collaboré avec la faculté d'éducation de McGill dans le domaine de la recherche en technologie éducative.
