MONTREAL -- Scrum-half
Owen Cumming scored 10 points on a pair of tries and
Monty Weatherall added nine points as McGill clobbered the Montreal Carabins 34-10 in men's university rugby at Terrain Vincent d'Indy, Saturday.
Cumming, a political science senior from Toronto, was one of four different try scorers for the second-place Redbirds.
McGill earned a bonus point for a fourth consecutive game, improving their record to 3-1 in the RSEQ standings. The Redbirds sit two points behind the division-leading ETS Piranhas, who own a perfect 4-0 record.
Weatherall, an international development studies seniors from England, had one penalty kick and converted three of the team's five tries. He now sits third in the league scoring race with 38 points in four games. Weatherall is eight points shy of league leader
Axel Montgomery of Bishop's.

The lone try scorer for Montreal was

Both sides return to play next Saturday (Oct. 8), when Montreal heads east to Bishop's and Sherbrooke heads west to McGill for a 3 p.m. kickoff at Molson Stadium.
