MONTREAL -- Jonathan Banks scored 11 points as Concordia defeated McGill 36-18 in the RSEQ men's rugby semi-final at Concordia Stadium on Friday.
The Stingers, who had an undefeated 7-0 record through the regular season, will battle École de technologie supérieure for the provincial title.

The Redmen jumped to an early 6-0 advantage but Concordia came back to lead 15-6 at halftime.

Banks, a senior fly half, made one penalty kick and four successful conversions in the match.

Nicolas Krawczyk, Stephen Martinez, Sebastian Iaricci, Moritz Wittman and Andreas Krawczyk each tallied tries for Concordia.

The Redmen were led by Elliot Esposito-Menard, a 5-foot-10, 169-pound management freshman from Spain who scored eight of their 18 points with two successful penalty kicks in the fourth and eighth minutes and converted one of two tries.

Scott Thompson of Chelsea, Que., and Zack Hazan of Montreal scored tries for the Redmen.

McGill wraps up their campaign with a 4-5 overall record.
