WATERLOO --  Ryley Davenport stroked a two-out RBI-single to cash in Robbie Cant from third base as Wilfrid Laurier University rallied with a pair of runs in the seventh and final inning to edge McGill 2-1 in men's preseason baseball on Saturday at Betchel Park.
 
The result, combined with a 5-0 score in the opening game, gave WLU a two-game sweep over the Redmen.
 
It also ruined a quality outing from McGill starting pitcher Henry Dennis, who tossed a complete game and took the loss. He scattered seven hits over 6.2 innings, allowed a pair of unearned runs, struck out four, hit one batter and walked none.

Four different McGill players managed one hit apiece.

#14 was credited with the win in relief for Laurier. He pitched one inning and allowed no runs.
 
McGill's lone run gave them a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning on an RBI double by Jack Pantalena that scored Gabe Hamilton.

The Redmen dropped to 1-2 in preseason action and will play an exhibition doubleheader against Queen's in Kingston, Sunday.
