MONTREAL -- McGill rallied for six runs in the bottom of the third inning and held on to edge the University of Montreal 6-5 in their final game of a rare tripleheader at the Canadian Collegiate Baseball Association national championship at Parc Claude Robillard, Friday.
The victory, combined with a tourney-opening 6-1 decision over Acadia and a 3-1 loss to Saint Mary's, was good enough to qualify the Redmen for a berth in Saturday's national semifinal. The opponent, time and venue are still to be decided and depend on the outcome of other games.
