TROIS-RIVIERES, Que -- Pierre-Olivier Morin scored twice as the UQTR Patriotes skated to a 4-1 victory over visiting McGill in CIS men's preseason hockey at Le Colisee, Sunday.

The game featured 60 minutes in penalties, including 32 to the Redmen who had a 29-22 margin in shots and connected on one of seven power-play chances.

UQTR was 1-for-8 with the man advantage.

After a scoreless first period, The Pats jumped into a 3-1 lead after two and then added another marker in the final stanza.

Defenceman Samuel Labrecque tallied the lone marker for the Redmen.

Rounding out the scoring for the Patriotes was Guillaume Asselin and Marc-Olivier Mimar.

Pats goalie Sebastien Auger turned aside 28 of 29 shots for the win, while McGill's Jacob Gervais-Chouinard made 18 saves and took the loss as his record dropped to 1-1 in exhibition play.

The Redmen have now dropped both preseason confrontations with the archrival Patriotes, including a 3-2 setback in overtime at McConnell Arena on Sept. 12.

McGill (2-4) will conclude preseason play on Oct. 3 with a cross-border visit to Clarkson, an NCAA Division 1 team based in Potsdam, N.Y. Puck drop at the Cheel Arena is slated for 5 p.m. The Redmen begin their OUA regular season schedule on the road next week. They will play UOIT in Oshawa (Oct. 9) and carleton at ottawa (Oct. 10).
