MONTREAL -- Freshman Augustus Hill tallied a game-high 16 points as McGill defeated the visiting Bishop's Gaiters 26-14 in RSEQ men's rugby at Percival Molson Stadium, Friday.
 
The Redmen extended their unblemished record to 5-0 atop the RSEQ conference standings. McGill led from start to finish and was up 26-0 at halftime before Bishop's mounted a late-game comeback effort and outscored the Redmen 14-0 in the second stanza.
 
Hill, a six-foot, 175-pound exchange student from England who leads the Redmen in scoring with 65 points after five games, drilled four penalty kicks and added a pair of conversions.
 
Thomas Stokes, a fifth-year political science senior from Vancouver, B.C., put McGill on the board early, scoring a try just two minutes after the opening kickoff. McGill's only other try was scored in the 36th minute by sophomore fullback and fellow England native Alexander Russell.
 
Bishop's tries came from team captain Lee Hudson and player of the game Scott Best, with Josh Bray converting both. The Gaiters dropped to 3-2 in the league standings and await the arrival of ETS (0-4) on Oct. 16.
 
McGill (5-0) will host the Montreal Carabins (4-1) at McEwen Field in Ste. Anne de Bellevue on Oct. 17 at 3 p.m.
