KINGSTON, Ont. -- Gabrielle Davidson scored at 2:18 of sudden-death overtime as McGill rallied three times to finaly edge the Montreal Carabins 3-2 at the Queen's Invitational women's preseason hockey tournament at the Invista Centre, Friday.

It was the first meeting between these two hockey powerhouses since McGill prevailed 4-3 in double ovetime to capture the CIS national championship last spring and the Martlets improved to 33-7-0 lifetime against the Carabins,

Montreal led 1-0 and 2-1 on goals by Ariane Barker and Janique Duval, respectively, but each time, McGill replied. Kelsie Moffatt tied the game at 1-1 on a first-period power-play and Leslie Oles evend the score at 2-2 on a power-play at 14:11 of the middle period.

The Carabins had a 29-20 edge in shots and went 1-for-5 on the power-play, while McGill responded with a 1-for-3 performance.

Sophomore goaltender Brittany Smrke made 27 saves for the victory, while Carabins rookie Marie-Pier Chabot was beaten three times on 20 shots for the loss.
