COTE ST. LUC, Que. --
Ryan Kramer struck out nine batters and tossed a complete game five-hitter as McGill defeated the Universite de Montreal 3-1 in CCBA baseball action at Gary Carter Field in Parc Trudeau, Friday.
Kramer allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk over seven innings.
It avenged last week's back-to-back losses to Montreal as the Redmen improved their lead atop the CCBA Northern Conference with a 9-2 record.
Montreal pushed across its only run of the day in the third inning on a groundout by
Francis Desnoyers. But McGill rallied in the fifth, scoring three runs, keyed by a sacrifice fly from
Zach Aaron.
Starting pitcher
Gabriel De Lisi took the loss for Montreal. He lasted just five innings, walked seven, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
The Redmen will head south of the border on Saturday for a doubleheader against the RPI Engineers in Troy, N.Y.
