OTTAWA --
Robert Sedin of Sunnyvale, Calif., smacked a three-run double in the sixth inning as McGill rallied from a 2-0 deficit and cruised to an 8-3 victory over Carleton in university baseball action at Ottawa Stadium on Sunday afternoon..
It capped a superb week for Sedin, a managment freshman who batted 6-for-15 at the plate -- leading the team to four straight wins. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound infielder racked up 11 RBIs, with a grandslam home run, three doubles, four runs scored, a pair of walks and a .417 on-base percentage.
The result, combined with a noon-hour victory over Ottawa, gave the Redmen their third doubleheader sweep and extended the team's unblemished record to a perfect 8-0 atop the Canadian Collegiate Baseball Association's Northern Division standings.
Carleton's poor play in the field contributed to the loss. Carleton gave up two unearned runs while committing four errors over the course of the game.
