Dany Potvin pounced on a rebound at 1:24 of sudden-death overtime to give Concordia a 5-4 victory over McGill in men's university preseason hockey at McConnell Arena, Saturday.
It was the Stingers first win over McGill since a 3-2 overtime shootout victory at McConnell Arena, Jan. 25, 2013 and snapped a five-game losing streak to the Redmen as they improved to 94-89-14 lifetime against McGill, which has dominated the rivaly for the last decade and has won 18 of the last 23 confrontations.
Marc-Olivier Vachon led the Redmen offence with a pair of goals.
