MONTREAL -- Yannick Fortin made four penalty kicks, including one with less than 10 minutes remaining as second-place Concordia salvaged a 17-17 tie against McGill in a men's rugby game at Molson Stadium, Friday.

It was the second consecutive draw for the third-place Redmen and kept them two points in arrears of Concordia with three games left before playoffs. Both teams struggled to field a healthy lineup with injuries and illness taking its toll.

Thomas Stokes led McGill in scoring with seven points, on the strength of a penalty kick and a pair of conversions on tries made by Kylan Gibbs and Angus Wall.

Stephen Martinez was the lone try scorer for Concordia, (3-1-1) which will host Sherbrooke (1-4-0) on Oct. 19.

McGill (2-1-2) will host the Montreal Carabins on Saturday, 0ct. 18 at 1 p.m.
