MONTREAL – Swimmers
Clement Secchi, from Aix-en-Province in France, and Montreal native

Secchi, a 19-year-old management sophomore, won seven gold medals, while breaking three school records and two RSEQ marks as McGill finished first of six teams in the men's division at the Kemp-Fry Invitational, a major three-day meet in Halifax over the weekend. The 5-foot-10, 140-pound sprinter swept each butterfly event (50m, 100m, 200m), along with the 200 freestyle. He also guided the 4x100 and 4x200 freestyle quartets to victory, along with the 4x100 medley relay. He established school and RSEQ records in both the 50 fly (23.72) and the 100 fly (52.44). Secchi also produced another team record in the 4x200 free (7:24.06).
Danyluk, a 21-year-old cellular biology freshman, collected five gold medals and two silvers as the McGill Martlets finished second of six teams at the Kemp-Fry Invitational swim meet. The 5-foot-7 rookie won the 200m butterfly and swept all three backstrokes (50, 100, 200). Danyluk posted a record time in the 100 backstroke -- on the opening leg of the 4x100 medley relay. Her mark of 1:00.16 erased the previous standard of 1:00.70. She also led McGill to victory in the 4x100 medley relay, which established a school record in 4:09.98. Her silver medal results came in the 4x100 and 4x200 freestyle relays.
