Verrier, a six-foot, 196-pound forward with the hockey Redmen, earned points on four of McGill's five goals in a pair of victories over Concordia last week, assisting on the game-winner in both contests. The 23-year-old economics junior tallied the winning goal and added an assist in a 2-1 home victory last Friday, then collected a pair of helpers in a 3-2 overtime road win on Saturday. Verrier, who played for Drummondville and Quebec in the QMJHL, has had NHL tryouts with Winnipeg (2014) and Detroit (2015). He currently sits third in the OUA scoring race with 21 points in 14 games, including a league-leading 17 assists.
