Collin, a 21-year-old computer science sophomore on the men’s swim team, won two golds and a pair of bronze medals to earn first-team All-Canadian honours as McGill finished fifth at the U SPORTS national championship in Victoria, B.C. He was also a recipient of the U SPORTS Community Service Award for combining athletic excellence with leadership and academic prowess. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound freestyle specialist opened the meet last Thursday with a first-place finish in the 400-metre freestyle (3:51.71). On Day 2, he won the 200m free (1:51.19) and swam the second leg of the bronze-medal 4x200m freestyle relay (7:35.78). On Day 3, he led off the 4x100 freestyle relay, which finished third (3:25.62).
