MONTREAL -- Two lucky fans will have a chance to win $10,000 during tonight's "Pots and Pans" basketball doubleheader between Concordia and McGill at Love Competition Hall. The women's game is slated for 6 p.m., followed by the men's contest at 8 p.m.

Fans are being asked to bring pots and pans to the game to encourage McGill and rattle the Stingers. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ halftime show will feature a half-court shot for $10,000. Contestants can register on the way in and one will be selected for each game to receive a maximum of two shots attempted from half-court to win the prize. If both contestants make their shot, then they share the prize. Participants who have played or coached college ball, semi-pro or professional basketball are not eligible.

Also, the fan judged to have the best McGill outfit will walk away with a free pair of tickets to see the Toronto Blue Jays play Milwaukee at Olympic Stadium next March.

The basketball Martlets are currently second in the RSEQ conference with a 2-1 record and sit two points ahead of the Stingers (1-1).

On the men's side, McGill also sits second in the league with a 2-1 record, two points ahead of Concordia (1-1).

Tickets are available both online and at the door. General admission is $10, while students, seniors and McGill staff cost only $5. Children 12-and-under are admitted free.

The game will also be streamed on McGill Sports Network.
