McGill medical student Marcotte merits RSEQ rugby all-conference honours

MONTREAL -- Audrey Marcotte, a medical student with the McGill University women's rugby team, has merited all-star honours for the second consecutive year in the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec.

The 5-foot-2 senior prop is a native of Chateauguay, Que., and served as team captain this year after a stint as an alternate captain in her junior campaign.

A product of Howard S. Billings high school and Champlain College in St. Lambert, Que., she played three seasons with the Quebec provincial team and was named as the Martlets rugby rookie of the year in her freshman campaign.
