QUEBEC CITY -- Caroline Suchorski scored a game-high 12 points with a pair of tries and one conversion but it was insufficient as visiting McGill fell 30-12 to Laval in RSEQ women's university rugby action, Saturday.

Anne-Charlotte Beaulieu led the Rouge et Or with 10 points, connecting on a pair of penalty kicks and two conversions,

It was the second straight setback for the Martlets, who won their season opener 54-27 at Carleton before losing to 34-20 Concordia on Sept. 10.

"Much like in our loss to Concordia earlier this this week, we got off to a slow start," said program manager Tess Kelley. "We had a strong second half but the deficit was too large to come back against a team like Laval, that has very strong forwards."

McGill (2-1) will host undefeated Ottawa (2-0) in a key match-up affair on Sunday, Sept. 21 at the Macdonal campus. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
