KINGSTON, Ont. --
Caroline Suchorski, a senior centre from Kirkland, Que., talled two tries, lifting the McGill university women's rugby squad to a 24-20 victory over the Western Mustangs at the Queen's Invitational in preseason play, Saturday.
Emily Barber, a senior from Fenelon Falls, Ont., and freshman
Carla Massaro of Montreal each added one try for the Martlets, who rebounded nicely from Friday's 53-14 loss to Queen's.
Rounding out the scoring for McGill was senior
Kayleigh Walsh, a master's student in physical therapy from Dollard des Ormeaux, Que., who tallied a pair of conversions.
McGill, 1-1 in preseason action, opens defence of their RSEQ conference championship on Sept. 3 when they travel to the nation's capital to play the Carleton Ravens.
