SHERBROOKE -- Two athletes from McGill University struck gold at the Sherbrooke Invitational track and field meet, held at the Pavillion Univestrie, Saturday.
Caroline Tanguay won the women's high jump, while Dylan Golow claimed the men's pentathlon.
Tanguay, a physical therapy sophomore from St. Hubert, Que., jumped a distance of 1.70 metres. Golow, a neuroscience junior from Barrie, Ont., collected 3,409 points in his event.
McGill also posted 10 silver-medal finishes and nine bronze-medal efforts. A complete list of McGill athletes who reached the podium is posted below.
The team's next event, their fourth meet of the season, is the Rouge et Or Invitational in Quebec City, Jan. 18. Their next home competition is the high-profile McGill Team Challenge -- billed as the largest indoor meet in Canada -- slated for Jan. 24-25. A number of national team athletes, including a couple of Olympians from the London Summer Games, are expected to participate.
