Box Score SHERBROOKE –
Chloe Renaud of St. Hubert, Que., extended her scoring streak to three consecutive games with a pair of goals as visiting McGill blanked the Sherbrooke Vert & Or 4-0 in women's soccer, Friday., at Stade Nouveau Concorde.
The result extended McGill's undefeated streak on the road in Sherbrooke to 6-0-1 since a 1-0 setback on Oct. 16, 2016.
The Martlets posted their third in many games, en route to improving their unblemished record to 3-0 atop the RSEQ standings. While the Vert & Or remained winless at 0-3-0.
McGill had an 8-2 edge in shots as senior goalkeeper
Sophie Guilmette of Ahuntsic, Que., made two saves to register the victory and improved to 3-0 on the season. She shared the shutout with rookie
Cheridan Johnson of Calgary, who played the final 20 minutes and had no shots.
Renaud, who leads the RSEQ conference scoring race with four goals, was named as McGill's player of the game. She tallied what proved to be the game-winner in the 18th minute of play and later made it 3-0 by the 39-minute mark. Both goals were assisted by
Alexandra Hughes-Goyette, who had also struck paydirt to give the visitors a 2-0 advantage in the 22nd minute.

Sherbrooke 'keeper
Jenny Harrison made four saves on eight shots and was saddled with the loss.
There were no penalty cards issued by the officials.
Both teams return to action on Sept. 13, when Sherbrooke (0-3-0) travels to Laval (2-0-1) and McGill (3-0-0) plays at Bishop's (0-0-3).
