MONTREAL -- Tickets still remain for McGill's 121st men's basketball home opener tonight (Aug. 10, 7 p.m.) against Florida State University at Love Competition Hall, located inside the Sir Arthur Currie Gym, at 475 Avenue des Pins Ouest. Tickets are $15 (CDN) but only available online and cannot be purchased at the door.

FSU, which hails from Tallahassee, Fla., and began playing basketball in 1947-48, owns a 2-0 preseason record thus far on their three-game tour of Canada. They opened with a 86-66 victory over the Ottawa Gee-Gees in the nation's capital on Aug. 6 and followed with a 98-64 decision over the Carleton Ravens (Aug. 10). The Seminoles are coming off a 17-14 record overall last year, including a 10-10 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The McGill Redbirds are coming off a stellar 15-5 overall record last season, including a perfect 12-0 mark in the RSEQ conference. It marked McGill's first undefeated campaign in men's hoops since 1933-34, when posting a 6-0 record to capture the Wilson Cup as champions of the intercollegiate league.
