MONTREAL -- Sarah Humes scored twice as the Concordia Stingers stunned visiting McGill 3-0 in women's soccer on Sunday.

The result halted McGill's undefeated streak at 3-0-1 and dropped the Martlets to fourth place in the eight-team RSEQ conference at 4-2-1.  Concordia, which is 2-7-2 in their last 11 confrontations against McGill, moved up to sixth place with a 2-4-1 record.

Claudia Asselin opened the scoring in the fourth minute of play, followed by Humes, who connected in the 29th and 43rd minutes.

Concordia goalkeeper Carmen Milne made four saves to merit the shutout while McGill's Sarah Dubois had seven saves in a losing cause.

McGill now faces the uphill task of confronting the Montreal Carabins on their turf on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. The last time the cross-town rivals met was a shocking 5-0 shutout for UdeM in the season opening weekend on Aug. 31 at Molson Stadium.

Concordia (2-4-1) plays at second-place UQTR (4-1-2) also on Sept. 27.
