MONTREAL -- The fourth-ranked Montreal Carabins were held scoreless in the first half but converted two second-half chances, 20 minutes apart, to blank McGill 2-0 in men's university soccer at Percival Molson Stadium, Friday.
The result was Montreal's fifth consecutive victory over McGill and extended their undefeated streak to 5-0-1 since a 2-1 victory on Sept. 21, 2014, as the Carabins improved to to 23-5-10 overall against the Redmen since joining the league in 2001.

Mouad Ouzane added an insurance marker in the 70th minute.
Louis-Philippe Simard racked up six saves for the shutout, while Farineau made three saves for the loss.
The visiting side from the other side of Mt. Royal had a 17-8 advantage in attempted shots, a 7-6 edge in shots on net and a beneficial 6-1 margin in corner kicks. Montreal was called for a dozen fouls and two yellow cards, compared to McGill's dozen fouls and one yellow.
Montreal, which leads the seven-team RSEQ conference with an unblemished 3-0 record, will host sixth-place Concordia (0-2) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
McGill, who fell to fourth place with a 1-1-1 record, travels to Quebec City on Sunday for a 1 p.m. showdown against second-place Laval (2-0).
