MONTREAL -- Goalkeeper
Sarah Dubois of Edmonton registered a five-save shutout as McGill battled Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières to a scoreless draw in RSEQ women's soccer at Percival Molson Stadium on Friday. The game also served as a "Kick for the Cure" fundraiser for women breast cancer.
Patriotes 'keeper
Arianne Cloux made four saves for her clean sheet.
McGill had a 9-7 advantage in shots toward the net, a 6-3 edge in shots on target and a 4-2 margin in corner kicks.
Midfielder
Claudia Agozzino of Montreal was named Gamed MVP for the Martlets, while
Laurianne Beauchamp earned the honours for UQTR.
The Patriotes were assessed 24 fouls compared to McGill's 11. Three UQTR players -- Beauchamp and defenders
Audrey-Anne de Guise and
Catherine St-Jean -- were assessed yellow cards in the match.
McGill (3-3-3) hosts league-leading Laval (8-0-1) at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 15) at Percival Molson Stadium. The Patriotes (2-4-3) visit Bishop's (1-6-2) that same afternoon.
