22nd ANNUAL McGILL REDBIRD CLASSIC BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT, Oct. 21-23, 2016

MONTREAL -- McGill University hosted the 22nd annual Redbird Classic basketball tournament, Oct. 21-23, at Love Competition Hall, inside the Sir Arthur Currie gymnasium at 475 Pine Avenue West. For the second straight year, the event is a women's only tourney, although the Redmen (4-4) will host UBC-Okanagan and Laurentian in a pair of non-conference games, Oct. 21-22, respectively. McMaster will also be in town to play two games.

The Martlets, who own a stellar 7-1 record in preseason play, will open against the Laurentian Voyageurs on Friday at 6 p.m. The next day, McGill plays the Dalhousie Tigers at 5 p.m. On Sunday, the Martlets will confront the Waterloo Warriors at 1 p.m.

Tickets will be available at the door. Daily passes are $5 for students and seniors and $10 for adults. A three-day weekend pass is $10 for students and seniors, and $20 for adults. Like all McGill sporting events, children aged 12-and-under are admitted free.

Both the daily and tournament packages will include admission to the two men's games.
