Psychology senior Alex Kiss-Rusk, a 6-foot-4 centre from Beaconsfield, Que., had 10 points and eight rebounds. She was 4-for-9 from the field, sank both her free throws, and collected six of her rebounds in the defensive end.

Gladys Hakizimana, a social work sophomore from Montreal, contributed seven points and a game-high five assists. She went 2-for-7 from the field, including one trey, and netted half of her four free-throw attempts. She also caught a rebound and stole one ball.

Sofia Paska led the Rams with a double-double of her own, scoring 16 points and collecting 11 rebounds. Teammate Kellie Ring also had 16 points, and grabbed five rebounds.

The Martlets had 11-6 advantage in steals and a 3-0 margin in blocks, while Ryerson held a 47-38 lead in rebounds. Both teams committed 16 turnovers.

McGill shot 37.7 per cent from the floor (20/53), 7-for-18 from three-point range for 38.9 per cent, and 14-for-19 from the stripe (73.7). The Rams shot 26.9 per cent (18/67), a meagre 12.5 per cent from beyond the arc (1/8) and were 12-for-15 (80 per cent) on free-throws.
Ryerson next travels to Saskatchewan to partake in the U. of Regina Invitational, Oct. 6-9.
