MONTREAL -- Armel Dagrou scored twice as the UQAM Citadins came-from-behind to surprise division-leading McGill 2-1 in a men's university soccer game played at Molson Stadium, Thursday,

It snapped a two-game win streak for the Redmen, who are off to their best start in years.

The Redmen had taken a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute of play when senior Alexander King, a native of England, struck for his third goal in as many games. Dagrou evened the count in the 28th minute and tallied the winning marker in the 72 minute.

McGill sniper Massimo Di Ioia had two glorious scoring chances in the second half, striking the ball hard from a sharp angle but both shots riccocheted of the crossbar.

UQAM goaltender Nizar Houhou made eight saves for the victory, while Redmen 'keeper Max Leblond was credited with nine saves in a losing cause.

Dagrou was named as UQAM's player of the game, while Redmen midfielder Michael McIntyre, a ssecond-year midfielder from Pte. Claire, Que., earned similar honours for his side.

UQAM, which improved to 2-1-0, moved into a first-place tie with McGill (2-1-0) atop the RSEQ conference. The Citadins will host Concordia (0-1-0) on Sunday, while the Redmen play at Laval on Sept. 19.
