TROIS-RIVIERES, Que. — For the second time in a month, the UQTR Patriotes squeaked out a surprise win against McGill, defeating the visiting Redmen 2–1 on Friday.

The match was deja-vu for both teams, as they played to the exact same 2–1 result when McGill hosted the Pats on Sept. 25 at Molson Stadium. UQTR's only victories on the season thus far have come against the Redmen.

Fifth-year forward Alexander King of Cambrige, England notched McGill's only goal, while UQTR countered with tallies from Simon Lagarde and Ludovic Lavallee. As a result of the goal, King was named McGill's player of the game, while Guillaume Comptois-Noel took that honour for the Patriotes.

In spite of the loss, McGill keeper Max Leblond turned in a brilliant effort, stopping 13 shots. His Patriotes counterpart Raphael Belanger-Vaillancourt was credited with nine saves on 10 shots.
