MONTREAL -- Philippe Coulombe-Jutras scored in the 75th minute as the No.4-ranked Montreal Carabins settled for a 1-1 tie against the visiting McGill men's soccer team at Stade CEPSUM, Friday.

Dominic Bell had given the Redmen a 1-0 lead on the final play of the first half when he converted a header from
Marc Palaci-Olgun past goaltender Kenan Morina.
The Carabins had a 6-4 edge in shots on net but McGill 'keeper Max Leblanc turned aside five of them and was named as McGill's player of the game.
"We faced a very talented team and utilized a defensive system for the first time this season," said McGill head coach
Marc Mounicot. "We fought hard for 90 minutes and were close to stealing three point s from them. It was a battle and we responded physically and tactically,
The Redmen sit precariously in the fourth and final playoff berth in the seven-team RSEQ conference. They are three points behind third-place Laval (3-1-3) but only one point ahead of UQTR (2-3-2), which holds a game in hand.
McGill will host last-place Sherbrooke (1-5-1) in a must-win game this Sunday at Molson Stadium. Kickoff is at 4.00 pm.
