McGill wins quarter-final 3-0 over UQTR

Goals were scored by Alexandra Morin-Boucher and Anna Smith

The Martlets reach the final four of the QSSF Indoor league with a 3.0 win over UQTR on Sunday.

They will play Sherbrooke on Sunday March 21st at the Stinger Dome. it will be a repeat of the semifinal game of the fall. Sherbrooke beat Concordia on penalty kicks in 3 rivers earlier in the day. The other semi final will see Montreal facing Laval.

Morin-Boucher scored two goals and Anna Smith was the other scorer in the game. All goals were scored in the first 45 minutes of play. We had a strong start and used the last 45 minutes to move people around and see if we could use a different organisation on the field and rest some key players nurging some injuries.

UQTR played a strong game and showed some resilience and determination for 90 minutes of play, so it was a good preparation for next weekend. We should have a complete line-up next week as we want to reach the final game of the season.
