Liliane Lefebvre, both natives of Toronto, are the McGill University Athletes of the week for the period ending Sept. 25, 2022.
Press, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound left-fielder with the baseball Redbirds, batted .625 with a 5-for-8 performance at the plate, seven runs batted in and four runs scored in a doubleheader sweep over visiting Laurentian University last Saturday. The 19-year-old political science freshman produced a single-game school record six RBIs in the first game, a 16-5 victory. He went 2-for-3 in the nightcap, a 3-0 victory, with a run scored and a sacrifice fly. Press is a product of

Lefebvre, a 5-foot-8 striker with the soccer Martlets, scored twice in a 2-1 home-field victory over Sherbrooke on Sunday. The 22-year-old kinesiology senior in the faculty of science, put McGill ahead 1-0 in just the second minute of play, then snapped a 1-1 stalemate with the winning tally on a header in the 61st minute. A product of Lycée Française de Toronto, she enrolled at McGill in 2019.
