MONTREAL – Basketball players Dele Ogundokun of Hamilton, Ont., and Gladys Hakizimana of Montreal are the McGill University athletes of the week, sponsored by Ye Olde Orchard Pub, for the period ending Mar. 5, 2017.
  
Ogundokun, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound guard with the Redmen, scored 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in two games and was named player of the game twice as McGill swept Laval (59-48) and UQAM (82-65) to win the RSEQ Final Four championship for the fourth time in five years, over the weekend. The 22-year-old management senior was also credited with nine steals and five assists. He shot 34.4 per cent from the field (11-for-32), made two of 12 attempts from three-point range and went 2-for-5 from the free-throw line.
 
Hakizimana, a 5-foot-7 guard with the Martlets, scored 24 points in two games and was named player of the game twice as McGill defeated UQAM (51-48) and Concordia (63-51) to capture their sixth consecutive RSEQ Final Four championship tournament over the weekend. The 22-year-old social work sophomore was also credited with seven rebounds, a dozen assists. She made five of 21 shots from  the field, shot 1-for-6 from three-point range and connected on an impressive 86.7 per cent (13-for-15) from the free-throw line.
