Alexandre Tremblay rejoined the men's hockey coaching staff in Augiust, 2026, as a technical specialist, overseeing skills and skating, He has been serving in this capacity at McGill since 2021 but took a sabbatical in 2024 to work for two seasons as an assistant under head coach Eric Bouchard, with the Italian Olympic women's hockey team, in preparation for the 2026 Winter Games.
After receiving certification as an activity leader from Hockey Quebec, he then became a Hockey Canada-certified master skills coach. Tremblay was also an assistant coach with the PWHL's Montreal Victoire for the past two seasons. A defensive forward during his playing days at McGill, Tremblay battled injuries over three seasons from 2014 to 2017, scoring five goals in 35 career contests. He holds a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in industrial relations (2019).
The native of Repentigny, Que., played three seasons of varsity hockey for McGill, patrolling on left wing from 2014 to 2017. He graduated with a BA '17, majoring in industrial relations. After a decade of personal hockey skills training experience, working with players from ages 6-27, he specializes in combining power skating with stick-handling.
