Madhav Trivedi enters into his fifth year with the McGill coaching staff in 2017-18 after three years as an assistant with the Queen's Gaels while completing his Bachelor of Education degree at the Kingston-based university.
Prior to Queen’s, he played point guard for the Ryerson University Rams from 2005 to 2009, before serving as an assistant coach to the Rams incoming head coach, Roy Rana, for the 2009-10 season. Trivedi graduated from Ryerson with a degree in child and youth care.
Trivedi has experience at the national and international level, managing the Canadian cadet men’s national team during the 2010 FIBA world championships in Germany and the 2011 FIBA Americas in Mexico. The Canadian team won bronze at both tournaments. He has also served on the Canadian squad that competed at the Maccabiah Summer Games in 2013 and 2017.
