Biography
FRESHMAN YEAR (2014): Karl Forgues of Repentigny, Que., was named as the RSEQ conference's defensive rookie of the year in 2014. A physical education freshman, he led the league with 74.5 tackles in eight games and also had 13 tackles for loss, eight QB sacks, one interception and three knockdowns. The 5-foot-9, 200-pound linebacker received with three trophies from the annual Friends of McGill Football awards gala. He was named rookie of the year (Fred Dupre Trophy), most outstanding defensive player (Friends of McGill Trophy) and most valuable player (Students' Society Trophy). He joins McGill Sports Hall of Fame running back Michael Soles (1986) as the second player in team history to be named top rookie and MVP in the same season.
