Biography

Defensive lineman Joshua Archibald of Montreal, had a stellar junior season with McGill in 2019, earning RSEQ all-star honours and receiving the Vic Obeck trophy as the team's most improved player. A 6-foot-3, 255-pound defensive end, he was credited with 27 tackles in eight regular season contests, including 19 solos. Archibald ranked third among RSEQ league leaders with 9.5 tackles for losses (totaling 46 yards) and was third in QB sacks with 5.5. The 22-year-old economics major was a terror on the field, racking up four forced fumbles and four knockdowns. He was subsequently selected to play in the 2020 East-West Bowl in May but the prestigious U SPORTS showcase for CFL prospects was shutdown by the coronavirus pandemic.
