Marc Glaude, football assistant coach

Marc Glaude

Marc Glaude, 32, from Beaconsfield, Que., returns to coach the McGill offensive line in 2024 for a sixth season and to serve as the team's mental performance coach. He previously served as an o-line coach and handled strength and condition for the Montreal Carabins in 2017 and coached with the Football Quebec U-18 squad at the 2018 Canada Cup championship.

Glaude initially joined the McGill coaching staff in 2018 but took the 2023 campaign off for academic reasons while working on a doctorate in sports psychology. Prior to that, he earned a master's degree in kinesiology, physical education and sports psychology at McGill (2022), and a science degree in physical and health education from the Université de Montréal (2017).

A high school product of College Notre Dame where he was inducted to their Sports Hall of Fame, Glaude went on to an all-star career at Vanier College and then played at the university level for the Montreal Carabins, where he was a two-time RSEQ all-conference at offensive guard (2013) and offensive tackle (2015).  In the 2017 CFL Draft, he was an eighth-round selection with the Saskatchewan Roughriders but his dreams of a pro career was cut short by injuries and he returned to university to further his education.
