Biography
Antoine Mongeau is a 5-foot-10, 197-pound linebacker, from Laval, Que., who dressed in 31 of 32 regular season games during his four years at McGill and dressed in 31 of the team’s 32 regular season games. He registered 129.5 total tackles, including five for loss and 2.5 quarterback sacks. The 23-year-old physical education senior added three interceptions, two knockdowns, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. He was selected to attend a CFL regional combines camp in March, 2019, but the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus.
A 2019 recipient of an Alouettes bursary from the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence, Mongeau helped McGill clinch third place in the final game of the 2019 regular season after recovering a fumble and scampering 69 yards for a touchdown midway through the final quarter as McGill rallied for a late 23-17 victory at Concordia.
