McGill University Athletics

In Quebec we are fortunate to offer the lowest university tuitions in the country. This has helped build our program through the primary recruitment of CEGEP athletes. But with many of the top CEGEP players now seeking NCAA opportunities south of the border, we must broaden our recruiting outside of Quebec which brings with it a much higher cost. In the coming year we are hoping to recruit two international students with a tuition of approximately $16,000 each

Competing for recruits remains our greatest challenge, but the success of the program over the past four years has made McGill a desireable destination for many student athletes. However, given the limitations of the league schedule our team has the possibility of playing the same team four to five times per year. It is important that we provide more diverse competition through an enhanced non-conference schedule, such as adding three very competitive games/scrimmages in Las Vegas, as we did this past season

Program branding is one of the most important things we can do to increase our visibility outside of the McGill University environment. At a cost of approximately $250/player to upgrade player gear, a $6,000 investment will help us outfit our players and provide greater program visibility
