MONTREAL – Three members of the McGill women's basketball team were among the laureates as the 2024-25 league honours were announced by the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec. In a vote conducted by the league's five head coaches,
Lily Rose Chatilah earned first-team all-star honours, while
Emma-Jane Scotten made the second team and
Erica Simeone received a berth on the all-rookie squad.
Chatilah, a 5-foot-7 guard from Quebec City, finished fourth among the league scoring leaders, averaging 12.7 points per game. She reached the 20-point plateau three times, including a season-high of 29 in a 69-62 victory against Concordia on Jan. 16, 2025. It was the highest single-game total by a McGill player in 15 years, since
Anneth Him-Lazarenko tallied 32 against UQAM on Feb. 27, 2010.
The 20-year-old science sophomore is majoring in anatomy and cellular biology. She started in 15 games and led the league with an 85.7 per cent success rate in free-throw shooting (30/35), ranked third among league leaders in minutes played (30.1 minutes per game), third in assists per turnover ratio (1.4), fourth in assists per game (3.2), fifth in steals per game (2.1), sixth in minutes played (29.2), seventh in field-goal shooting at 41.1 per cent (69/168) and eighth in three-point shooting at 33.3 per cent (23/69).
Scotten, a 5-foot-9 guard from Ottawa, was 10th in the league scoring race with an average of 9.9 points per game. The 22-year-old Arts senior is majoring in Education in Global Contexts. She ranked 12th among league leaders in field-goal shooting with a 37.9 per cent success rate (50/132). Scotten was seventh in assists per game (2.6), seventh in three-point shooting at 33.8 per cent (24/71), eighth in assists per turnover ratio (1.1) and14th in steals per game (1.3).
Simeone, 20, is a pre-medicine freshman from Montreal. The 6-foot-1 forward/guard ranked fifth among league leaders in blocked shots (0.6 per game) and eighth in rebounding (5.3 per game). She averaged 17.4 minutes per outing, 3.8 points per game, 1.2 steals per contest, while shooting 38.5 per cent from the field (25/65) and 55.0 from the free-throw line (11/20).
