MONTREAL --
Dylan James of Little Britain, Ont., scored four goals and added a pair of assist but his efforts were overshadowed as the McGill men's lacrosse team fell 10-8 to the visiting Trent University Excalibur at Percival Molson Stadium, Saturday.
Trent, the defending conference champions, took sole possession of first place with a 4-1 record in the CUFLA East. McGill dropped to 2-2 and now sits fourth in the six-team division.
The Redbirds took six of the seven penalties callled in the game. Trent led 3-2 after the first quarter, 6-4 at halftime and 7-5 after three quarters.Both teams tallied three times in the final stanza. .
Adam Hawrelak paced the Excalibur with a hat-trick and a helper. Teammates
Jordan Dool,
Holden Lowes and
Dallyn Rai each added a pair for Trent, and
Dom Millman rounded out the scoring.

Goaltender
Jackson Brown registered the victory for Trent, while Redbirds netminder
Joseph Boehm took the loss.
Trent will play at Bishop's (0-2) on Sunday (Sept. 24), while McGill will have a week to prepare for hosting Queen's (2-1) in the annual Truth and Reconciliation Legacy Game on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.
