MONTREAL –
John Miraglia of Memphis, Tenn., scored four goals and
Isaiah Cree of Akwesasne, N.Y., added a hat-trick as McGill galloped past the Ottawa Gee-Gees 16-4 in a men's lacrosse Homecoming game at Percival Molson Stadium, Sunday.
The Redbirds led 3-0 after the first quarter, 7-1 at halftime and 10-2 after three stanzas, then outscored the visitors 6-2 in the final period. The entire Redbirds roster got into the game and nine different players scored for McGill, including both of the team's faceoff specialists.
Dylan James, a psychology senior from Little Britain, Ont., was in on six of McGill's goals, scoring once and setting up five others. The 5-foot-10 midfielder upped his team-leading points total to 28, including 14 goals, which ranks fourth in the CUFLA East Division.

Zachary Moen paced the Gee-Gees with a pair of markers, while

Layakwas Kennedy, unrelated, tallied one apiece.
Joseph Boehm, a fifth-year senior from Waterloo, Ont., started between the pipes for McGill, made five saves on six shots and was credited with the win. He was replaced at the 36:34 mark by
Henry Komosa of Potomac, Mass., who made three saves on five shots. Freshman
Calum Leaver-Preyra of Etobicoke, Ont., played the final 10 minutes and conceded one goal on his only shot faced.
The Redbirds took seven of the 11 penalties called.
McGill has three games remaining before playoffs. Last week's postponed game against Bishop's has been rescheduled to Wednesday (Oct. 18) in a 6 p.m. start at Molson Stadium. The team will then close out the regular schedule with road games at Ottawa (0ct. 21) and Trent (Oct. 22).
