Jamie Mayotte scored at 5:51 of overtime as Carleton nipped McGill 5-4 in an OUA men's hockey thriller at the Ice House in the nation's capital, Friday.
The Ravens jumped into a 2-0 lead on a pair of goals by Aucoin and held a 3-1 advantage after the opening period, with freshman
William Rouleau notching his fourth for McGill and rookie
Alex Johnston replying for Carleton.

Mikisiw Awashish reduced the deficit to 3-2 early in the middle stanza but Carleton regained their two-goal cushion on Aucoin's third of the soiree and nation-leading 11th of the season.
The Redbirds rallied to knot the score at 4-4 with goals from sophomore
Caiden Daley at 11:28 and rookie
Evan Patrician, who tallied shorthanded at 17:33.
The third period was scoreless, setting the stage for the sudden-death 3-on-3 overtime period.
Both teams had 29 shots on goal, with junior netminder
Mark Grametbauer making 25 saves for the win in the Carleton net.. Senior
Emanuel Vella was credited with 24 saves and took the loss for McGill.
The Redbirds, who entered the game with the league's top power play success rate and ranked as the third least penalized team in the 19-team OUA, were assessed seven of the 12 penalties called. Carleton was 1-for-4 with the man-advantage, while McGill, was 0-for-2.
McGill (4-1-2) remains in Ottawa overnight to take on the Gee-Gees in a 3 p.m. puck-drop on Saturday at the Minto Sports Complex. The Ravens (3-2-1) will host Concordia at 7 p.m.
