OTTAWA --
Milo Young sparked a two-out rally in the top of the seventh inning as McGill came-from-behind to defeat Ottawa in men's baseball at Lytle Park, Sunday.
McGill only had three hits and the victory gave the Redbirds a doubleheader sweep over the hapless Gee-Gees, who dropped all four contests with McGill this season. It marked the third straight win for McGill and improved the team's record to 15-5 overall, since an eight-game undefeated streak was snapped by Queen's on Oct. 1.
Young, a 21-year-old industrial relations senior from Honolulu, was 0-for-2 at the plate but was hit on a 1-2 pitch with two outs in the final inning. he stole second base, advanced to third and scored on a wild pitch.
Two of McGill's three hits went
Auguste Guern, who went 2-for-3 with a a pair of RBIs and a run scored. The 21-year-old politiical science senior from France continues to dominate. he is batting .433 and has hit safely in all but two of the team's games this season.
Reliever
Alaistair Mitchell was credited with the win and
Platon Leftakis earned a a save, with both only giving up one walk apiece. McGill starter
Jack Cameron went 5.2 innings and gave up three runs on five hits with one strikeout and a pair of walks.
