The result was McGill's second straight setback to the Citadins after snapping an 11-game win streak against them and dropped their lifetime record to 47-25 in 72 head-to-head meetings.

It was also the fourth straight loss in league play for the Martlets, who dropped to 2-7, while UQAM evened their record at 4-4.

The Citadens took a 20-17 lead after the first quarter, stretched it to a 34-27 margin at halftime and held a 43-53 advantage after three.

She also registered three rebounds, an assist and a steal. Teammate Inga Aleksaiete tallied 6 points, two freebies and tallied a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Martlets were led offensively by two players off the bench. Shayann Laguerre from Laval, Que., scored 13 points, collected five rebounds and had a pair of steals. Teammate Nadege Pluviose added a dozen points with a team-high eight rebounds and two assists.

McGill connected on only 29.7 per cent of their attempts from the field (19/64), went a mere 5-for-25 from the arc and drained 14 of 17 attempts at the charity stripe. The Citadens, who shot a 46.6 per cent (27/58), drained nine of 23 treys and shot an impressive 10 of 11 from the line.
