Athletics and Recreation is committed to the nutrition of its athletes and the greater community.

Now, members will have access to some of the healthiest options on campus when they come to the complex for their fitness activities.

McGill Athletics and Recreation is proud to partner with NutriFit Meals, a company specializing in nutritious food.

The meals are protein-based and affordable, with prices starting at $8.99. They can be picked up at the Athletics and Recreation complex. People can also order meals online and grab them at NutriFit's location in Ville Saint Laurent or have them delivered at home.
 
The tasty options vary from week to week, with vegetarian and vegan meals available. Some of the dishes include glazed pork with vegetables, five-spice chicken breast, and keto-style vegetables.

"I think that anytime that we can help the student athletes eat healthy and prepare and get their bodies ready for competition and the recovery after, it's a plus for us," said Ryan Thorne, head coach of the McGill Martlets basketball team.

"Getting a partner in that will provide those healthy options is amazing."

Varsity teams will get to have meals for their teams during their seasons.

McGill student athletes are already excited about having even more healthy choices.

"As an extremely busy student athlete finding time for healthy meal prep is always a challenge," said Claire Vercheval, a third-year volleyball player. "NutriFit meals is the perfect choice for health, nutrition, and ease."

NutriFit is a local company with Montreal roots. They're thrilled about the opportunity to contribute to the health of McGill student athletes and community members.

NutriFit meals are now on sale at Redbird Sports Shop on 475 Pine Avenue.
